As part of a consortium, Norbeck won a contract worth £1.2M to provide the ICT for the MoD Technical Training Centre, ST Athan. Working with the customer we developed and planned the installation for a new training LAN for the site. We developed the new LAN to be flexible, scaleable and mobile for the learning environment and included installation of an extensive wireless access system with the installation of a comprehensive TE Connectivity (ADC Krone) solution. We undertook all infrastructure works on the project.
Responsible for the supply, installation and project management of the entire infrastructure throughout the campus; including network infrastructure, VLE, Audio Visual and Wi-Fi in the training Academy. We were also responsible for the installation of the broadband connectivity and wireless installation into all the accommodation blocks. There are multiple VLAN’s for voice, staff, students and guests.
