Commitment to achieving Net Zero
Norbeck Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
Baseline Year: 2021 | |

This is Norbeck limited first base line assessment for a Carbon Replacement Plan, we intend to purchase electric vehicles and fit renewable energy solar panels to our premises in the future to reduce our carbon foot print
Baseline year emissions:
EMISSIONS | TOTAL 70.1 (tCO2e) |
Scope 1 | Direct emissions from the combustion of fuel in assets that a company operates, such as fuel emissions from company-owned diesel vehicles, and air-conditioning = 55 (tCO2e) |
Scope 2 | Indirect emissions from the generation of energy purchased from our utility provider, Octopus Energy, such as heating, cooling, steam, and electricity. = 5.06 (tCO2e) |
Scope 3 (Included Sources) | All indirect greenhouse gas emissions from purchased goods and services, capital goods, transport, distribution and business travel, calculated from our expenses. = 10.04 (tCO2e) |
Total Emissions | 70.1 (tCO2e) |

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next 8 years to 35 tCO2e by 2030. This is a reduction of 50%.
Achieved by moving our fleet vehicles to electric and producing our own renewable electric for solar panels fitted to our premises.
Progress against these targets can be seen in the graph below:
Carbon Reduction Projects
Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2021 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 35.5 tCO2e, a 50%ge reduction against the 2021 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract
In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:
Purchase when available within the market electric Vans
Purchase electric cars for directors and project management team.
Implement PIR lighting systems with LED bulbs to limit use
Affix renewable energy panels to roof of premises
Continue to Audit via ISO9001 and ISO1400 which we are accredited with to monitor and review company carbon foot print/reduction plan.
